Stigmatization of Mental Health

There are an insane amount of stigmas relating to mental health. To start, people look at mental illness like it is a bad thing when in reality most people today struggle with it. It is good to discuss your feelings and talk about what is going on for you mentally. Mental health needs to become more normalized and especially as more people become more comfortable discussing their own individual issues. The stigma in time will go away, but only if we talk about how to make it more normalized. It is apparent especially during the pandemic that we are also in a mental health crisis as well. The lesson I'm learning is that it is okay to not be okay. You do not have to be the perfect image all the time because that is not life. Be authentic and true.
